We have been professionally servicing vehicles in Minneapolis for over 34 years. Our combined experience is in retail and fleet automotive repair services, detailing and 24hr AAA emergency road services.  Our depth of experience, combined with Dave’s car racing experience, allow us to offer a broad array of knowledge and understanding to our customers. Between our deep knowledge base and the network of specialists we have gotten to know, we have many options to share to help you constructively navigate through almost any automotive situation with common sense, confidence, respect and professionalism.

Eugene C. Buell, a long time SE Minneapolis resident, is the founder of Urgent Care Auto Repair. He started assisting automotive customers in a small town filling station at the age of 6 and has been fixing, adapting, cleaning vehicles and setting up advanced maintenance programs for vehicles ever since. Mr. Buell still actively oversees research and operations as company president. He has always been passionate about helping people and has proven to be innovative in many areas of automotive services and transportation. Presently he is addressing our common need for innovation within the transportation sector by utilizing the ever-improving technologies available to assist us in preserving and maintaining the fine cars we drive today. He thoroughly enjoys his iPhone while looking forward to being part of the exciting changes in ground transport, which will be coming in the near future.

 

Gene is continually seeking ways to access accurate information that will allow us to be logically sensitive to the environment while at the same time keeping our customers’ cars, safe, comfortable and affordable to operate.

 

At Urgent Care, evident by how we operate and through the informative links and articles posted on our website, we are trying to assist our customers become smarter consumers by making them aware of the potential so they can ignore the misinformation woven into most forms of communication.   It is woven in much like poison ivy mixes into a bed of wildflowers. Misinformation is even more poisonous and evasive because it stems from the narrow goals of people from many special interests along with other political or fanatical sources. What they usually seek is to dishonestly gain notoriety, power and or monetary gain because they take advantage by appealing to our emotions or our naivety in order to manipulate our perspective as well as that of the general public without being factual. When they present the facts, they often do so only partially or offer them out of context.  Misinformation is an inappropriate tool that dilutes the true awareness of consumers and can severely limit the pace of positive evolvement. Have you noticed that the power of change, especially in the United States, is controlled by the consumer and by how we decide to spend our money as we adapt to the availability of different fuels? That it is our increasing awareness that affects the decisions we make now and will continue to make (usually without conscience realization) that will ultimately have some effect on the environment along with our personal finances during our lifetime? It is that power that makes us all truly responsible participants in the process by being a nation of aware, educated and wise consumers. This is what is actually in the best interest of all concerned. Becoming and staying aware takes time because of the deception that is readily available as we navigate through the plethora of mostly good information. As we seek knowledge in order to become and stay informed consumers, we need to keep ourselves informed to properly adapt our perceived personal requirements to develop and maintain an evolutionary, reality based perspective. We cannot depend on any government or organization to make these decisions or control the information that is available to us.  A balanced perspective is what allows for the understanding and the vision to make a quality decision about almost anything.

 

The personal perspective and automotive needs of each Urgent Care customer is important. The vehicle data, history and its perceived future are of great importance to the process of helping our customers maintain their vehicles in a manner that is proper for the future of that vehicle. Even the serial number of a vehicle not only guides our computer system to the correct choice of replacement parts but it also guides the computer system to the recommended service intervals, along with the proper engine diagnostic parameters.

 

We believe that if the public is updated and is aware of the variables and choices that are available to them, they are far more inclined to become more engaged and more satisfied with their car. Our comfortable, efficient, low profile location where we have been operating now for the past eight years is located one block East of Central Ave. Our address 1321Tyler Street NE in an old steel manufacturing plant. The buildings here allow us the space and flexibility to offer an honest, high standard of service for our customers to enjoy, along with quality customer care and customer support, all at a reasonable cost. Urgent Care employees are not paid on a commission basis. You will never be subjected to improper, high-pressure sales or manipulation. We will offer you our educated opinion upon request. We also have many other sources of information to offer.


Whenever a customer feels the need in any major repair situation, we will allow ample time for them to think over prescribed repairs and go over our estimate before signing the work order. To further assist with the normal stress that most of us feel when our vehicle breaks down, we offer secure, short term, off street storage of your vehicle when your car is towed in or is inoperable. Our storage lot is fenced and locked with 24-hour video and patrolled surveillance. High-end and exotic cars (or whenever a vehicle owner has an extreme concern), will be kept inside with the same 24 hour security. We truly understand and respect that you may feel the need for a little time in order to calmly think things out, talk it over with a significant other, get a second opinion or even compare our prices.

 

If you have a situation or have question that is not in one of the areas we specialize in we simply offer you a prompt referral to a proven trusted professional that we believe is proficient in the automotive services for which you request the information or services.

 

We appreciate, read and listen to all customer input along with innovative ideas and solutions you may have.

 

During Vehicle Consultations (which are by appointment only), we are very attentive to your perspective of what you want and need from a vehicle. We will offer our perspective of your situation and take detailed notes. Depending on the complexity of your circumstance, we may do some additional research at no extra charge based upon your needs and offer sources of information and appropriate solutions as to what will bring your vehicle up to or surpass your expectations. 

 

When you come into our shop without an appointment, you will find that we delegate very little time to patronize or offer you small talk. We will not apply unnecessary sales tactics to your day when all you need is to get free air for your tires, find out what may be causing a new squeak or rattle, or just get a taillight bulb replaced before going out of town. You will find that we are polite and attentive. To keep our prices reasonable, we are tightly scheduled on projects. Therefore, it may take a few minutes. We always do our best to handle both small quick stops and emergency services as quickly as possible.  Situations such as emergency carpet and upholstery cleaning like pet or child vomit or for a quick cleanup of milk or pop spill, it is best but not absolutely necessary, if you can call ahead so we can see if we can rearrange our schedule to get the appropriate service bay and tools ready for the task.

We still offer the good old neighborhood services like, recycling of your used car batteries along with the free towing and recycling of junk vehicles.
